Nettie A. Sullivan

Nettie A. Sullivan, 85, of 505 E. Elm Street, West Frankfort, Ill. died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at the Frankfort Care Center in West Frankfort.
Mrs. Sullivan was born December 23, 1914 at Plumfield, Ill. to Henry Tell and Cora (Trigg) Simpson.
She married Edgar Henderson in November of 1935. He preceded her in death.
She married Willie F. Bill Sullivan December 30, 1947 in Elgin, Ill. He preceded her in death October 4, 1997.
Survivors include a step-son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Deanna Sullivan of Springfield; a brother, Jewell Patrick Simpson of Crescent, Okla.; four nephews, Bill Simpson of Crescent, Okla.; Leroy Mills and his wife Vera and Lyndall Dunlap and his wife Joy, all of Zeigler and Don Simpson and his wife, Ellen of West Frankfort; two nieces Virginia Edwards of Satellite Beach, Fla. and Mona Lowery and her husband Tom of Springfield.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons and an infant daughter; four brothers, Harry, Claude, Virgil and Roy Benton Simpson and three sisters, Dimple Simpson, Mary Pearl Dunlap and Gaynell Mills.
Mrs. Sullivan retired in 1977 as an Illinois state employee in Elgin after 31 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Zeigler and the Eastern Star in Elgin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sullivan were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000 at Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler with Brother Larry Hallman officiating. Burial was at Denning Cemetery in Orient. Visiting hours were after 9 a.m. Thursday until the hour of the services.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Sullivan may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. or the Zeigler First Christian Church.
